Vault Processor Options

The Vault Computers use Intel processors and Intel Chipsets to provide the most straightforward means of interface on the market. If you want to install a peripheral or upgrade software, then you should be able to without looking for unusual drivers or hardware interface data.

Pentium III - 733MHz, 866MHz, 933MHz, 1GHz
The Intel® Pentium® III processor integrates the P6 Dynamic Execution microarchitecture, Dual Independent Bus (DIB) Architecture, a multi-transaction system bus, Intel® MMX™ media enhancement technology and the Intel Processor Serial Number. In addition, the Intel Pentium III processor offers Internet Streaming SIMD Extensions, 70 new instructions enabling advanced imaging, 3D, streaming audio and video, and speech recognition for an enhanced Internet experience. Versions also include an Advanced Transfer Cache and Advanced System Buffering to meet the higher data bandwidth requirements of today's environments. With great performance for the Internet, the connected office, and multitasking environments, Pentium III processors are targeted at the range of mainstream business users. The Pentium III processor also meets the needs of entry-level workstations and servers.
The Vault's P3 Motherboard utilizes the proven technology of the latest version of the Intel 815E Chipset that provides Leading-Edge performance. Supporting Intel® Pentium® III processors with 100/133-MHz system bus speeds and CPU clock speeds up to 1 GHz the board has slots for 3 DIMMs for a maximum of 512 MB of 133MHz memory. The motherboard also includes Ultra ATA/100 disk support, four USB ports, five PCI expansion slots and Intel® Rapid BIOS Boot which speeds up the Power On Self Test (POST), enabling your system for operation much quicker.

The Intel Pentium 4 processor delivers this world-class performance for industrial power-users and business professional desktop users as well as for entry-level workstation users.
	The Vault's P4 Motherboard uses the Intel 850 Chipset and supports Intel NetBurst micro-architecture with dual RDRAM channels (4 sockets supporting up to 2GB of PC800 RDRAM), providing 3.2 GB/second memory bus bandwidth to match the Pentium 4 processor's system bus requirements. This also supports system bus speeds of 400 MHz for performance improvements in high-bandwidth and concurrent applications required for today's emerging Web technologies. The Vault also enhances overall system performance with features such as Intel® Rapid BIOS Boot that speeds up the Power on Self Test (POST), Ultra ATA/100 disk support; and four USB ports, five PCI Slots Expansion slots.
